doubt. all nominated actors deserved it but none more than viola davis. i haven't seen three of the other nominated supporting actresses but she should win. she must. B+
slumdog millionaire. story of a young guy who is on india's version of the trivia show. the movie is flashback of how he knows, or doesn't, the answers. all the controversy seems somehow appropriate to this emotional roller coaster of movie. it's mostly fairy tale but stirring and has deserved every nomination it's received. the young actors stole the show. i hope they're not really as underpaid as folks have been saying. A-
the wrestler. character study at its best. i loved mickey rourke's performance- sweet and sad all at once. just as you believe things will change, well, they do and not unexpectedly but i felt a lot different about it all then i think the situation warranted. who would have thought? B+
