"i hate everyone"

little miss sunshine. i finally got to see this. i grabbed the guy and took him to cinemagic on hawthorne. we settled in with our popcorn and got to laughing. that's the first great thing about the movie. it's quite funny. you may not be doubled over but there's a subtle humor, quite dark at times, that remains throughout the movie. the story is simple enough: a family- husband, wife, wife's brother, son, daughter and husband's father- take a road trip to get the daughter the "little miss sunshine" pageant. like any other road movie, people grow and change along the way but what i found refreshing was that it was focused on the individuals in the family and the family together. yes, everyone has their own issue but once that's changed there's no way the change can't effect the family dynamic. i appreciated that being shown. it was a great little movie and i highly recommend it. i say bring on the dvd already! a-.
